Our list of best smartphones that you can buy under Rs 10,000 in June has some new entrants while some of the old members have made it to the list, owing to several factors they possess. The category is filled with smartphones from the likes of Realme, Redmi, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Infinix and Motorola. The Rs 10,000 price segment is important for brands since it attracts the maximum number of smartphone buyers, especially the ones who are either new to using smartphones or are light users. We have our list ready so that you do not have to spend much time in choosing which smartphone to buy for under Rs 10,000.
Realme Narzo 10A
Launched last month, the Narzo 10A is the latest budget smartphone from the house of Realme. Realme has a good track record of launching affordable smartphones with as many features as are available in the market for a particular price range. The Narzo 10A is priced at Rs 8,499 for a single variant. It comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G70 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery. For photography, the Narzo 10A has a set of triple cameras at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel sensor at the front.
Redmi 8
The Redmi 8 was launched in India in October last year for a starting price of Rs 7,999. However, due to the changes in GST, the price of the smartphone increased twice. The top variant of the Redmi 8 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage now sells for Rs 9,499. The smartphone comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button at the side, over and above other specifications such as a Snapdragon 439 processor, a 5000mAh battery, and a 6.22-inch notched display. There are dual cameras at the back of the Redmi 8 - a 12-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera on the Redmi 8.

Redmi 8A Dual
The Redmi 8A Dual was launched in February this year as a toned-down version of the Redmi 8. It has nearly the same specifications as the Redmi 8 does, including a Snapdragon 439 processor and a 5000mAh battery. The Redmi 8A Dual has a 6.22-inch HD+ display, as well, with a notch at the top. It comes with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable as well. The cameras on the Redmi 8A Dual are a little different from those on the Redmi 8. There is a 13-megapixel main sensor, in addition to a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, the Redmi 8A Dual has an 8-megapixel sensor housed inside the notch. Samsung Galaxy M01
The Galaxy M series by Samsung has been its most popular one. The company has launched a plethora of smartphones under the Galaxy M series and its recent one in the sub-Rs 10,000 range is Galaxy M01. Featuring a 5.7-inch Infinity-V HD+ LCD display, the Galaxy M01 is powered by an octa-core Exynos processor. It has a setup of two cameras at the back - a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel camera on the Galaxy M01. The smartphone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with support for expandable storage. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy M01 is priced at Rs 8,999.
Oppo A12
The Oppo A12 is the latest affordable smartphone from the Chinese company. Initially launched in Indonesia, the A12 has finally entered India to take on the Galaxy M-series. The Oppo A12 has a 6.22-inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Helio P35 processor, and a 4230mAh battery. It has a combination of a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The Oppo A12 has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. The Oppo A12 is priced at Rs 9,990 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Realme C3
The Realme C3 is priced under Rs. 8,000 but is modern enough to compete with several other devices priced between Rs. 8,000 and 10,000. It has a relatively powerful and recent MediaTek Helio G70 processor, a 5000mAh battery, and a 6.5-inch HD screen. You get a 12-megapixel rear camera with a depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel front camera. This is one of the more stylish options on our list too. On the downside, there's oddly no fingerprint sensor, and you have to make do with a Micro-USB port which is now outdated.
The base variant has 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, but there's also an option with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which is still well within budget. In our testing we found that modern games ran well at medium to high settings, and the cameras were decent in daylight.

Realme 5
Although this model is not the most recent, it still offers pretty good value. The Realme 5 has a distinctive crystal pattern with gradient finishes in either blue or purple on the rear, and it feels well-built. Battery life is excellent thanks to the 5000mAh capacity, and the Snapdragon 665 makes this a good workhorse. You get a 12-megapixel primary rear camera that's reasonably good except in low light. There's also a depth sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera which is fun to use but not great in terms of quality. The base variant of the Realme 5 offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and slips in just under our Rs. 10,000 cutoff. The other two variants are worth considering if you can spend more.
Vivo U10
The Vivo U10 (Review) is not very recent, but it's worth considering for its features and specifications. You get a Snapdragon 665 processor, 5000mAh battery, and three rear cameras. This phone runs Android 9 but an update to Android 10 with the latest version of Vivo's Funtouch OS is expected. The 6.35-inch display is quite good and everyday tasks ran smoothly. Battery life is very good but the cameras are just average. The base variant of the Vivo U10 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage is available for under Rs. 10,000.

Realme U1
While this phone was officially launched in 2018, it can now be found for under Rs. 10,000 which makes it suitable for our guide. You'll get a 6.3-inch full-HD screen, which is bright and crisp. Very few other options at this level have such a high resolution. The MediaTek Helio P70 SoC will get you through your daily routine, and the primary rear camera works well in the daytime. Camera features are limited and there's only a depth sensor on the rear. You can get this Realme U1 smartphone with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage within Rs 10,000, and the top-end variant with 4GB of RAM plus 64GB of storage costs Rs. 10,499.

Infinix Hot 9 Pro
Infinix Hot 9 Pro features a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The phone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it comes with face unlock as well. The phone runs on Android 10 with company's own XOS 6.0 on top of it and it is backed by a 5000mAh battery.
The phone is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset along with IMG GE8320 650MHz GPU. It is backed by up 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
